Range Anxiety — the fear of running out of charge between stations — is still the main reason many drivers delay going electric.
Heading away for a weekend with the family, you shouldn’t be wondering whether the hotel actually has a working charger — or whether ‘EV charging’ in the description really means a single 230 V socket behind reception. We built Charge & Sleep to replace that uncertainty with facts: power, connector type, stall count and driver reports — in one place, before you click ‘Book’.
We’re EV enthusiasts — active in the Polish EV community (lovev.pl, driver groups and beyond). This is not a VC-funded startup — it’s a project built by drivers themselves. We built Charge & Sleep because we got burned more than once by a ‘hotel charger’ that turned out to be a workaround. We knew the problem inside out — and decided it was worth solving.
On every hotel card the EV spec comes first. Price and stars come second.
We don’t run ‘EV-friendly hotel’ campaigns. We show what the property actually offers — even if it’s just 3.7 kW Schuko.
Short reports after a stay update the EV Trust Score. A broken charger drops out of the top list before you plan a trip.
We don’t take payments or manage reservations. We leave that to Booking.com and hotels. We do one thing: reality check on chargers.
The charger always comes first — not the promo tier. We only ship each next stage once the previous one is stable.
Map, filters, community reports, EV Trust Score, manual admin verification. All free.
A simple dashboard with metrics and profile updates. Hotels verify and improve their data.
Direct bookings, highlighted listings, analytics dashboard — for hotels that take EV seriously.
Next.js + Supabase (EU) + PostGIS + Mapbox — infrastructure built to scale to thousands of properties. Data from OpenStreetMap, Open Charge Map and community submissions. Transparent: everything under a Polish tax ID, privacy policy and terms linked from the footer.
Check hotels with a working charger in your city or along your route.
